Alleged NullCrew member French back in custody
After being free on bond since summer 2014, alleged hacker Timothy French has been taken into custody to await his trial, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
French, who is believed to be a member of hacker group NullCrew, was arrested by the FBI at his Tennessee home in June 2014 and charged for his alleged role in attacks against two universities and three companies.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Daniel Martin ordered French into custody on Wednesday due to alleged repeat violations of the bond, including alleged drug use, skipping drug tests and missing counseling appointments, according to the report.
Candace Jackson, French's attorney, told the judge that French is “entirely suicidal,” and Martin said he would try to have the French placed on suicide watch at Metropolitan Correctional Center, the report added.
