Microsoft and Yahoo on Wednesday announced a partnership of their internet search businesses. Under the 10-year agreement, Microsoft's Bing search engine will power Yahoo. In return, Yahoo will run the search advertisement business. The partnership will allow the companies to better compete against Google, but the U.S. Department of Justice will likely investigate anti-trust issues to determine if the partnership will stifle competition, according to public interest group Competitive Enterprise Institute. — AM
