Barrett Brown pleads innocent following third indictment

Barrett Brown, who sometimes publicly spoke for the Anonymous collective, pleaded innocent on Wednesday in Dallas federal court to new charges that he concealed evidence, apparently related to a raid on his apartment earlier this year, according to a report. Late last year, Brown also was indicted on charges of threatening an FBI agent in a YouTube video and, separately, for his alleged connection to the breach of intelligence firm Stratfor. In that case, prosecutors did not accuse him of stealing any data, only sharing a link to a dump of credit card numbers. Brown faces up to 100 years in prison for all of the charges. He also has been determined mentally competent to stand trial.
