Check Point adds Dyanasec for governance, risk, compliance

Check Point Software Technologies bolstered its portfolio Monday with the acquisition of privately held Dynasec, a 7-year-old, Israel-based provider of governance, risk management and compliance (GRC) solutions. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The purchase allows Check Point, to offer products that enable organizations "to view security as a business process, focusing on policy, people and enforcement." According to an April study conducted by the nonprofit professional organization ISACA, regulatory compliance and enterprise-based IT management and governance rate as the top two concerns for IT in the next 12 to 18 months.
