Damballa, an Atlanta-based provider of advanced threat detection and containment solutions, announced on Thursday the promotion of Stephen Newman to chief technology officer. Newman was formerly the company's vice president of products.
Previously, Newman designed products and product strategies for Secure Computing, McAfee, Boston Acoustics, MegaPath and EarthLink.
“After seven years at Damballa, Stephen's deep understanding of the company's technologies, strong vision for the future and experience working with global enterprises to understand their business requirements are invaluable,” said Damballa CEO David Scholtz.
Additionally, Joseph Ward has been promoted to vice president of products. Ward has been with Damballa since 2010, most recently as senior director of product and R&D strategy.
