Data losses equal $1 trillion

The economic crisis is poised to create a global meltdown in vital information. That conclusion, presented at the World Economic Forum in Switzerland, is drawn from a survey commissioned by McAfee. Increased pressures to reduce spending and looming layoffs have led to porous defenses and increased motivation for crime, the company said.
