Feds now running DNSSEC
The DNSSEC specification now is operational on all .gov domains, the U.S. General Services Administration has announced. DNSSEC secures communication between domain name system (DNS) name servers and clients and helps protect against attacks such as cache poisoning. Federal agencies last summer were ordered to implement DNSSEC, which can protect clients from forged DNS data, providing functional digital signatures when looking up websites. — DK
