Marcel Lehel Lazar, also known as the infamous hacker Guccifer, who claims to have infiltrated Hillary Clinton's email servers while she was Secretary of State, will reportedly plead guilty today to at least one of the federal charges for which he was extradited from Romania to the U.S.
According to a report by Politico, Lazar will change his plea in federal court in Alexandria, Va. – and the plea bargain appears to be contingent upon his full cooperation with federal prosecutors in ongoing investigations. This development has led to speculation as to whether he could be a vital source of intelligence as the FBI continues to probe Clinton's use of a private email server for allegedly classified communications, and whether Guccifer ever actually accessed the server. Clinton's camp has so far denied the veracity of Guccifer's claims.
