Hackers knock DDoS security provider Staminus offline

The security firm Staminus was knocked offline by a group calling itself FTA, which then began posting data pulled from the company's servers.

Staminus, which sells anti-distributed denial of service (DDoS) software, told customers via social media Thursday that its website and services had been knocked offline. The company has since posted on Twitter that its global services are coming back online, but as of Friday morning Staminus' homepage was still just showing an apology to customers for the outage.

Forbes wrote that FTA claimed to have inadvertently found data during its attack indicating the company hosted the KKK.com and other sites affiliated with the white hate group. KKK.com was also offline as of this writing.

Staminus has not responded to a request for comment.
