NICE Conference & Expo to be held in Columbia, Md.

The National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) will be hosting its 2014 conference and expo from Nov. 5 to 6 in Columbia, Md.

The event will bring together leaders from education, government, industry and nonprofit organizations to discuss the future of cybersecurity education in the U.S., according to NICE's website. The gathering aims to enhance the U.S.'s ability to educate the next generation of cybersecurity professionals and help them pursue key skills.

This year's theme is “Ready to Work,” or how to equip cybersecurity workers with skills to compete in the 21st-century economy. Session discussions will include education techniques and tools, workforce training frameworks in the government, and a discussion of the beneficial results from conducting cybersecurity competitions.

Registration fees range from no cost to $249, and the event will take place at the Sheraton Columbia Town Center Hotel.
