One nation, under cyberattack...

At a Senate Commerce Committee hearing on Thursday, cybersecurity experts warned that defenses are lacking when it comes to emerging threats to the nation's digital infrastructure. The witnesses called on the committee to do more to promote fundamental research in information security. Committee Chairman John Rockefeller, D-W.Va., said he would introduce a bill promoting cybersecurity education, and promised more hearings on the subject. — GM
