Oracle to ship 79 patches next week

As part of its quarterly security update, Oracle on Tuesday is planning to release 79 patches to address vulnerabilities across its product line. The popular database product will receive the fewest fixes (two), while MySql Server will be patched for 27 vulnerabilities.  The most severe bug affects Solaris of the Sun Product Suite, having earned a CVSS 2.0 score of 7.8 out of 10. Oracle said Thursday, in an announcement, that users should apply the fixes as quickly as possible.
