When did you first hear about the SC Awards and what prompted you to be a part of the big event?
I have known about the SC Awards for years and years, and have watched all the high-quality companies and products it has recognized. Each year it seems to gain more widespread attention in the industry. Porticor has a first-in-the-industry, unique service to secure cloud computing and data in the cloud, and we were prompted to participate because we believe our solution is a quality participant and has a strong chance of being recognized.

What's a key benefit for entering your company in the SC Awards?
Porticor now has widespread exposure to SC Magazine and the industry via the judging community. If we are recognized, it will be an important benefit to be honored in such a highly esteemed awards program.

To what other prominent awards ceremony outside of the security industry would you compare the SC Awards?
The SC Awards are the top security awards in the industry, announced at RSA, the biggest security event in the industry. I cannot think of another program that compares.

How do you think winning an SC Award would impact the perceptions of your customers toward your products and services?
Porticor's cloud data security service has received important validation from the industry, customers, analysts, etc. Having never participated in the SC Awards, we believe winning the most important award in our industry (an SC Award) would have significant benefits around exposure and validation for us.

With readers and industry leaders judging the various SC Awards, how do you intend to tout a finalist spot or win?
Clearly we would post the logo and issue a press release if Porticor were to win a finalist spot.  We would also broadcast this recognition over social media, and plan to participate in the awards ceremony at RSA.
