Database and application security software start-up Secerno has hired Paul Galwas, who will manage the company's product development.

Before joining Secerno, he was nCipher's senior director of product management, where his experience in designing security architectures at enterprise level earned his team a Jericho Forum prize. Secerno has also brought in Eleanor Simpson as its VP of sales. She most recently held the same position at Point Information Systems.
