Sanders campaign not dropping DNC data suit
Sanders' campaign will continue with its suit against the DNC.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-VT) is not dropping his lawsuit against the Democratic National Committee (DNC) over a data breach that temporarily suspended his staff's access to the voter files.
Even though the DNC reinstated Sanders's use of the centralized system before Saturday night's debate, his campaign manager Jeff Weaver indicated Monday to CNN that the presidential hopeful will not rescind the suit, filed late Friday, until he's “confident we can get to the bottom of how data is handled at the DNC.”
At issue is the party's data vendor NGP-VAN's system that allowed the Sanders campaign to view proprietary voter information belonging to Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton.
