What is it? The inaugural SC Congress Canada is a unique conference and expo experience for the information security industry that offers up practical solutions, advice and suggestions to help both private and public sector chief information security officers thwart cyberattackers, safeguard critical corporate and customer assets, come into compliance with countless regulatory mandates, and, ultimately, contribute to the overall profitability of their organizations.

Why should I come? Information security leaders will be on hand to share their insight, experiences and vast knowledge so that attendees will leave the event armed with plenty of actionable information they immediately can put to use once they return to their offices.

Have you done this before? Much like SC World Congress in the U.S., which is now in its third year, SC Congress Canada is defined by a robust program that is based on the unbiased, timely and informative editorial content for which SC Magazine has become known.

Who are you? Since 1989, SC Magazine has been fulfilling the mission to provide information security executives in the U.S. with in-depth news, features, product reviews, insight and advice about the information security market. This mission is being expanded to Canada not only through this new event, but also with the launch of the digital SC Magazine Canada and supporting newsletters.

Are any of my peers involved? Absolutely. SC Congress Canada already has the support and input of leading information security executives from various parts of the country, who are volunteering their time and expertise to help build the program. From suggesting topics to speakers, SC Congress Canada's Advisory Board is playing a pivotal role to ensure the event addresses the specific issues that professionals confront on a daily basis.

Can I find out about products? Too, numerous thought-leading vendors and service providers are voicing their commitment to the event, looking to show their wares and other offerings in the exposition hall. Similar to SC World Congress in the U.S., SC Congress Canada's show floor is bound to be packed with leading information security companies from across the country.

How is this show different than every other? It is all about new ideas — or finding ways at looking at old ideas — to help organizations and their CISOs take the lead against some of today's savvy cyberthieves. Speakers are not only challenged to leave our participants with actionable ideas, suggestion and direction, but unlike many events where participants might or might not get a speaker's presentation, we will ensure you can. And we work with speakers for further details to post as well, be it back-up research, analysis, policies or templates — all provided from a single portal after the event for Congress participants.
