SC Magazine wins Best Photo Spread award

SC Magazine on Monday was honored with the Min Editorial & Design Award for Best Photography Spread among business-to-business magazines for the March 2011 cover story “CSO of the Year,” designed by Art Director Brian Jackson, and written by Editor-in-Chief Illena Armstrong. In the spread, photographer Timothy Hughes' photo of CUNA Mutual Group CISO Scott Sysol is juxtaposed with a smaller shot of a Philadelphia Phillies mascot to lend an air of light-heartedness. The magazine also received Honorable Mentions in two other categories: Best Profile or Q&A for the CSO of the Year article, and Best Opinion and Commentary for Armstrong's October editorial “Calvin Broadus against cybercrime.” The awards honor excellence in content and design among media brands.
