Singtel completed $770M Trustwave acquisition
Trustwave announced Monday that it has been acquired by Singapore Telecommunication Limited for $770 million.
Trustwave announced Monday that it has been acquired by Singapore Telecommunication Limited (Singtel) for $770 million. The Chicago-based cybersecurity firm will now be a standalone business unit within Singtel Group Enterprise.
Trustwave said it plans to use data from Singtel's Asia Pacific network and Advanced Security Operations Center (ASOC) to feed additional threat intelligence into its managed security services. The acquisition will also increase the number of Trustwave's global security operations centers (SOC) from six to eight, according to a release.
“The ability to take Singtel's connectivity services and IT management services and combine those with Trustwave's managed security services helps to provide secured connectivity for our customers to the internet,” Steve Kelley, senior vice president of product and corporate marketing at Trustwave, told SCMagazine.com.
The company had announced in April that it had entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by Singtel.
