Candidates who can create and manage a comprehensive vendor risk program are in high demand. They must understand the risk of dealing with vendors, have a background in audit and risk, and face clients with strong project management skills.

Compensation
The ability to drive policies, practices, tools and metrics is the key to success. Salary: $100,000 to $150,000-plus.
