Study: Canada C-Suite execs say companies prepared for threats

A survey of C-suite executives in Canada has found that 60 percent have increased their security budgets in the last two years while 87 percent say they're prepared to deal with threats.

Still, only 23 percent rate their companies as very prepared.

The C-Suite Survey, conducted by Gandalf Group and sponsored by KPMG, revealed that 28 percent of respondents have suffered a cyber attack, with breaches often serving as a catalyst for honing the focus on cybersecurity, according to a report in The Globe and Mail.

A vast majority, 90 percent, view a recent foreign investment agreement with China as a plus for Canada. The survey indicated the growing importance of that market, finding that 65 percent see China as the top trade priority.
