Twitter vanishes for an hour, but was it a bug or DDoS?

For the first time in nearly a year, Twitter suffered a prolonged outage Thursday, leaving its 140 million active monthly users without micro-blogging capabilities. UGNazi has claimed hacks and DDoS attacks on a number of organizations and most recently is believed responsible for hijacking the personal Gmail account of CloudFlare CEO Matthew Price so it could attack 4chan.
