Terms and Conditions
The SC Magazine Awards 2008 Terms and Conditions
The terms and conditions for the SC Magazine Awards Europe ending June 30th 2008 shall apply to all products and services entered in the Awards.
Any other conditions shall be void unless incorporated clearly in written instructions and specifically accepted and acknowledged in writing by the Organizer. Any company, organization, partnership or individual (Entrant) submitting a product or service agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions the following terms shall apply:
Terms
The Organizer is SC Magazine. The Awards are owned by SC Magazine. SC Magazine is owned by Haymarket Publishing Group Principal office:
SC shall refer to SC Magazine, which is owned by the Organizer.
Entrants shall refer to the company or organization owning the product or service submitted for judging to his Agent, distributor or similar whichever is the principal.
The eligibility period shall mean the period of time between 12.01 am July 29 2006 and 12.00 midnight July 28 2007.
Conditions
All nominations/entries are accepted subject to the Organizer's approval and provided the nomination/entry is received during the Open period.
The Entrant agrees that SC Magazine, SC Magazine Global Awards and SC Magazine Awards are trademarks of Haymarket Publishing Group or its subsidiaries.
The Organizer reserves the right to suspend or disqualify any nomination/entry at any time for good reason. No claim shall be made against the Organizer or any of his servants or agents for damages or breach of contract. All reasonable efforts will be made to inform the Entrant of the suspension or disqualification as soon as possible. No refund will be given.
The Entrant agrees that the SC Magazine logo and all SC Magazine Awards logos are the property of Haymarket Publishing Group or its subsidiaries.
The Entrant's products or services identified on a properly completed nomination/entry form shall be recognized as entered into the SC Magazine Global Awards and SC Magazine Awards.
The Entrant agrees to be bound by such further terms and conditions, notes of guidance, instructions related to the Awards ceremony as may be issued from time to time by the Organizer or as may be in force during the period of the 2008 Awards.
Every care is taken to avoid mistakes but the Organizer cannot accept liability for any errors due to third parties, subcontractors or inaccurate or unclear information received from the Entrant.
In making this nomination/entry the Entrant warrants that his company is not owned in part or in whole, by the sponsor for the category in which the product or service is entered.
The Entrant shall be entitled to non-exclusive use of the SC Magazine Awards logo (current applicable) and entrant marketing collateral, subject to the standard terms of use of the Organizers logos.
At the conclusion of the 2008 Awards, all activity and privileges consistent with being an Nominee/Entrant shall cease. The use of any SC Magazine Awards logos subject to the express permission of the Organizer shall cease at that time. All artwork shall be returned to the Organizer at that time or shall be destroyed and on request of the Organizer certified as being destroyed by the Nominee/Entrant
Withdrawal of any nomination/entry must be made in writing. Should the withdrawal be made without appropriate notice then it may not be possible to remove a nominated/entered product or service from events such as judging.
Details of the votes cast for any product or service are confidential and may not be released.
Charges
The Nominee/Entrant agrees to pay such a fee for nomination/entry as is indicated on the nomination form. All fees must be paid before the nomination/entry is accepted and recorded on the judging form(s).
No refund of the administration fee shall be made in respect of the suspension or disqualification of a nomination/entry as a result of a breach of these terms and conditions or of the nominee's/entrant's failure to comply with any rules of the Awards or of an instruction of the Organizer or the Judges.
Press Relations
The Entrant will be given reasonable opportunity to participate in any press event relating to the SC Magazine Awards.
The Nominee/Entrant shall be entitled to prepared distribute press releases, which include mention of the SC Magazine Awards. The Nominee/Entrant shall make reasonable efforts to clear any press releases with the Organizer prior to distributing the same. The Nominee/Entrant shall provide the Organizer with copies of any press releases within two days of distributing the same.
The Nominee will provide copies of any press clippings or recordings of any press coverage of the SC Magazine Awards. The Nominee/Entrant agrees not to distribute any press releases which refer to the SC Magazine Awards and which in the sole opinion of the Organizer misrepresent the SC Magazine Awards or the Nominee's part in the SC Magazine Awards or bring the SC Magazine Awards or Haymarket Publishing LTD into disrepute.
Miscellaneous
The Nominee/Entrant may not assign, sell, lease, or otherwise transfer in whole or part his nomination/entry without the prior written approval of the Organizer.
Except as otherwise specified herein, all notices, requests, demands or communications required hereunder shall be in writing, delivered personally or sent by post to the parties at their respective addresses set forth on the Nomination Form (or at such other addresses as shall be given in writing by either of the parties to the other in accordance with this Section). All notices, requests, demands or communications shall be deemed effective upon personal delivery, or four days following delivery to the postal service in accordance with this Section.
No waiver of any provision of these terms and conditions or any rights or obligations hereunder shall be effective, except pursuant to a written instrument signed by the party or parties waiving compliance, and such waiver shall be effective only in the specific instance and for the specific purpose stated in such writing.

The Organizer shall not be liable for any delay in performance of these terms and conditions or in the delivery or shipment of the SC Magazine Awards or for any delay or non-staging of the Award Ceremony when the delay or non-staging is directly or indirectly caused by or arises from any act of God or other occurrence beyond the reasonable control of the Organizer.
In the event that any provision hereof is found invalid or unenforceable pursuant to judicial decree or decision, the remaining provisions will remain enforceable in accordance with its terms.
Any reference herein to a section shall constitute a reference to all subsections thereof. Headings to clauses are for reference only and are not part of these terms and conditions.
Penalties and Complaints
Charges will be made to the Nominee/Entrant in respect of any work owing to acts or omissions of the Nominee/Entrant.
Accounts must be settled under the terms shown on the invoice. Payment should accompany or be sent at the same time as an entry is made. All accounts are liable for immediate settlement.
Complaints must be made in writing not more than 30 days from the cause of the complaint, and addressed to the Events Manager, SC Magazine Awards, Haymarket Events,
