Video: The benefits of legal counsel

It's no surprise that a corporation has a responsibility of protecting its data wherever it may go. However, even though top of the line technology may be in place, breaches do occur. In order to further assist, legal counsel gives security departments the opportunity to help develop a plan on how to react when a breach or intrusion happens. Being able to have a plan that involves all of the right people allows CSOs to have transparency into what has happened, and put together a solid process on how to react.

Bryant Bell, senior product marketing manager of Guidance Software, sits with SC Magazine reporter, Danielle Walker, to discuss some of the benefits of having legal counsel in the security industry.
