Websense acquires Defensio

Websense on Tuesday announced the acquisition of Defensio, a spam-filtering service for blogs and other social Web 2.0 sites. The purchase will expand upon Websense's content identification and classification capabilities by providing visibility into spam messages posted to sites that allow user-generated content, Websense chief technology officer Dan Hubbard told SCMagazineUS.com.
