When did you first hear about the SC Awards and what prompted you to be a part of the big event?
The SC Awards are highly regarded to the Axway team and have been on our radar for a long time. SC named Axway (at the time it acquired Tumbleweed Communications) an Industry Innovator in Email Security, along with Axway MailGate consistently receiving SC's 5-star rating. Our customers tell us how important SC is to their buying decisions, so it was paramount to us that we be a part of SC Awards 2013.
What's a key benefit for entering your company in the SC Awards?
The SC Awards afford Axway the opportunity to get close to the IT security buyer (SC Magazine readership), and to gain the third-party recognition in technical excellence by winning for Best Email Security solution – giving us an edge over the competition that ultimately opens doors with those buyers.
To what other prominent awards ceremony outside of the security industry would you compare the SC Awards?
Other prominent awards outside the security industry that might come close in comparison include The Stevies (American Business Awards), GCN and American Technology Awards.
How do you think winning an SC Award would impact the perceptions of your customers toward your products and services?
Axway's customer base is comprised of a large majority of today's leading global enterprises (financial services, healthcare/life sciences, manufacturing, logistics, government) – all with data security as a core tenet to their business, whether it be based on corporate policies, industry and government regulations, or simply the protection of confidential customer information to safeguard their brand equity. Should Axway win the SC Award for Best Email Security solution, customer perceptions can grow exponentially – not only in terms of email security, but beyond email – to secure all forms of collaboration for internal and external data sharing.
With readers and industry leaders judging the various SC Awards, how do you intend to tout a finalist spot or win?
Not only does Axway's email security solutions have a strong legacy of innovation, with the latest release of MailGate SC with DropZone™ we're demonstrating our commitment to remain an industry innovator by launching a first-of-its-kind secure collaboration platform – offering users the ability to securely share files, email messages and communications from desktops, tablets or smartphones. A finalist nomination and award from SC Magazine would provide additional credibility and would become a prominent part of our Secure Collaboration campaign.
