Russian TV schedule defaced, video streaming site disrupted

Russian media has been facing cyberattacks amid the country's invasion of Ukraine, reports BleepingComputer. Pro-Ukraine hacking groups have compromised the online Russian TV schedule page amid Russian President Vladimir Putin's speech at the "Victory Day" military parade to display messages discouraging the war. Names of TV programs in the schedule have been changed to "On your hands is the blood of thousands of Ukrainians and their hundreds of murdered children. TV and the authorities are lying. No to war." Meanwhile, Russian video streaming site RuTube has been disrupted by a "powerful" cyberattack, which the platform said did not impact any user content and data, as well as its video archives. "Following the websites of Russian departments, which have been constantly subjected to cyberattacks over the past two months, hackers have reached RUTUBE. Video hosting has undergone a powerful cyberattack. At the moment it is not possible to access the platform," said RuTube in a statement.
