VentureBeat reports that PagerDuty Operations Cloud has been given expanded capabilities in a bid to bolster incident response efforts. Through the new Incident Workflows capability, security teams leveraging PagerDuty Operations Cloud would be allowed to perform trigger-based response workflow configurations for various incident types. Aside from providing an incident action list, Incident Workflows also enables automated alerts to customer support and public relations teams, as well as automated Slack channel creation and diagnostic tests. Meanwhile, the PagerDuty Status Page functionality would enable real-time communication of operational updates. PagerDuty has also introduced flexible time windows that allow smart alert grouping, as well as a new custom field within the incident feature for greater contextual data on security issues. "Regardless of how we label it, incident response/incident management is about preserving a seamless customer experience, and maintaining the trust and loyalty of customers. This ultimately translates to protecting and growing revenue," said PagerDuty Chief Product Development Officer Sean Scott.
