Google launches secure multi-cloud networking services

Google has announced the general availability of Cross-Cloud Interconnect and Private Service Connect, two new services that allow enterprises to run applications securely and efficiently on multiple cloud environments, according to SDxCentral. Google Cross-Cloud Interconnect allows organizations to establish secure high-bandwidth connections between their Google Cloud environments and other public clouds such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. Doing so also enables enterprises to migrate their workloads between different cloud platforms and host software-as-a-service in a multi-cloud environment. Meanwhile, Private Secure Connect lets organizations create a private, isolated connection into Google cloud and extend that connection into third-party services that can be directly connected with Google. In addition, Google announced an update to its Border Gateway Protocol support to now allow custom learned routes, which remove users need to have a public IP address divulged across the internet to traverse it and instead use private peering. This also enables more seamless connections between a virtual private cloud on one cloud platform and a VPC on another provider platform.
