Cloud Security, Cloud Security, Zero trust

Tanium partners with Oracle to offer cloud-based endpoint management, security

Endpoint management and security provider Tanium has announced a new partnership with Oracle that is focused on strengthening its flagship cloud-based offering, Tanium-as-a-Service, ZDNet reports. Ryan Andorfer, Tanium’s vice president of cloud computing, said Oracle’s security strategies and edge performance made them the ideal choice for a partnership.

Tanium-as-a-Service was introduced in 2020 as a way for the company to “meet more of the market where they are now,” Andorfer said. It currently delivers its SaaS platform through Amazon Web Services.

Tanium has been pushing into the mid-market segments recently through investments in cloud-based services, as a growing shift to remote workforces among small and mid-market businesses is expected to raise demand for endpoint management and security solutions. The company has also been teaming up with other public cloud providers, including Chronicle, which uses its endpoint security telemetry; Google’s zero-trust offering, for which it provides support for endpoint security identity information; and IBM Cloud, with which it jointly develops services for firms in heavily regulated sectors.
