The Cloud Security Alliance and (ISC)² have introduced a new Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification aimed at certifying those with the advanced skills need to keep the cloud secure.

To become certified as a CCSP, candidates need at least five years IT experience, with three of those in information security and one in cloud computing. They must be able to show skills in the six CBK domains, including architectural concepts & design requirements and cloud data security.

PearsonVUE testing centers will begin offering the CCSP exam worldwide, beginning July 21.

Calling accelerated efforts to close the cloud security skills gap "critical," Jim Reavis, CEO of the CSA, said in a press release that the program “creates strong incentives for information security professionals to obtain both the CCSK and CCSP, which will create a workforce of experts who possess a mastery of the broadest cloud security body of knowledge.”
