NH man pleads guilty to sextortion, accessed victims’ social media accounts

A 22-year-old New Hampshire man, pleaded guilty to hacking into social media and email accounts and engaging in sextortion of almost a dozen female victims.

Ryan Vallee copped to a 31-count indictment that included making interstate threats, computer hacking to steal information, computer hacking to extort, aggravated identity theft, and cyberstalking, according to a Department of Justice (DoJ) release. The plea arrangement did not include information about the age of the victims, although an earlier DoJ release and local reports stated that the victims were minors.

Vallee hacked into his victims' Facebook and Instagram accounts, locked the victims out of their accounts, and posted sexually explicit images on the victims' accounts.
