DHS appoints Microsoft vet

Philip Reitinger was appointed on Monday as deputy undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's National Protection and Programs Directorate, tasked with safeguarding the government's computer systems. Reitinger currently serves as chief trustworthy infrastructure strategist at Microsoft, where he collaborates with government to build systems aimed at protecting the nation's critical infrastructure.
