Snowden would come back to U.S. if guaranteed fair trial

Edward Snowden will come back to the U.S. if the government guarantees he'll get a fair trial, the whistleblower said to the New Hampshire Liberty Forum Saturday.

"I've told the government I would return if they would guarantee a fair trial where I can make a public interest defense of why this was done and allow a jury to decide," Snowden said to the group through a Google Hangout, according to an AOL News report.

Snowden, who has been in Russia since leaking classified documents he took from the National Security Agency (NSA) in 2013, has long said that if he could get a fair trial he'd return to the States. Several of the current presidential hopefuls have called him a traitor and said they'd like to see him prosecuted for his actions.
