Czech police nab Russian suspected of hacking U.S. targets

The Police of the Czech Republic on Tuesday announced the FBI-aided arrest of a Russian citizen suspected of hacking U.S.-based targets.

A police video of the Oct. 5 arrest that was obtained by the Associated Press identifies the suspect as Yevgeniy N., the AP has reported.

Acting on an intelligence tip and an Interpol Red Notice, authorities swooped in and apprehended the individual in a hotel located in Prague's city center. According to an official police statement, the suspect had been traveling with his girlfriend in a luxury automobile, and was so stunned by the arrest that he offered no resistance and subsequently collapsed, requiring hospitalization.

Judicial authorities in the Czech Republic will rule on the suspect's possible extradition to the U.S.
