Three more DNC staffers depart in wake of email furor

The fallout at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) over the leak of nearly 20,000 stolen emails continues with the announcement that three more top staffers will be exiting.

Stepping down at the DNC are Amy Dacey, CEO; Luis Miranda, communications director; and Brad Marshall, chief financial officer.

These departures follow that of Debbie Wasserman Schultz (R-Fla.), the organization's chairwoman, who resigned last week following revelations in the purloined emails that the DNC was seemingly prejudiced in favoring Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders. 

Supporters of Sanders had for months been pointing fingers at the DNC claiming the debate schedule tipped the scales in favor of Clinton and the email messages, published by WikiLeaks just days before the Democratic convention, seemed to verify their accusations, with one message plotting how the committee might use Sanders' religious views against him.

The DNC needs to clean house, Nina Turner, a spokeswoman for Sanders, told The Hill
