Guccifer 2.0 files reveal more info about donors: Hollywood celebs, corporate execs

Guccifer 2.0, the hacker who insists he alone broke into the Democratic National Committee systems despite two security research firms attributing the intrusions to two different Russian APTs, shared additional documents revealing private information about prominent donors to the Democratic party, including Hollywood celebrities Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks and David Geffen, in addition to Oracle and J. Crew executives.

The documents were shared exclusively with the political newspaper The Hill. The documents provide the names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of thousands of donors, according to a report by the Washington, D.C., news publication.

The file also includes information about the Democratic political strategies, including the Iran deal, immigration issues, gun violence, and the attorney general nomination. The documents detailed the party's fundraising strategy and plans for the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia next week, the report said.

The hacker has repeatedly denied reports that he is connected to the Russian cyberespionage campaigns Fancy Bear and Cozy Bear.
