Cloudflare, Kyndryl partner on secure multi-cloud network service

Cloud network provider Cloudflare and IT services vendor Kyndryl announced that they have partnered to produce a multi-cloud networking service that combines Cloudflare's security offerings with Kyndryl's networking expertise, according to CRN. The companies said the new offering will be a managed WAN as-a-service designed for enterprises that are transitioning to a modern IT architecture. It is set to feature an internet-native architecture that will provide enhanced performance and backwards compatibility with current enterprise infrastructure, in addition to some capabilities within the Cloudflare One secure access service edge platform. The product will also allow users to deploy Cloudflare's zero-trust security offerings such as firewall as-a-service, secure web gateway, and cloud access security broker. The companies said customers can leverage the product to defend against distributed denial of service attacks, or to provide enterprise WAN connectivity with cloud access, among others. Josh Helm, Kyndryl's vice president of global network and edge offering enablement, says the joint offering is poised to capitalize on an expected surge in companies moving to cloud-based networking architectures over the next few years.
