Okulis secures $6M in seed funding

Startup Okulis, also known as Lumeus.ai, announced its launch after obtaining $6 million in a seed funding round, according to SiliconANGLE. Okulis developed what it is calling a Universal Zero-Trust platform that provides enterprises with expanded visibility into their cloud or on-premises environments by leveraging artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. Through the platform, users may grant or deny access to resources or segment network traffic to disable lateral movement and deter threat actors. Lumeus.ai founder and CEO Satish Veerapuneni says one unique point about the company's platform is the fact that it is agentless. Agentless matters because it makes deployment faster and allows companies to see value sooner in a matter of minutes, rather than months, Veerapuneni said. In addition, the platform can use AI to profile network and application behavior in an effort to detect anomalies, eliminating the need for a third-party tool to perform these actions. It can also help enterprises develop unified policies for large numbers of zero trust use cases, which can be the case for enterprises operating hundreds of cloud and on-premises environments.
