Survey explores enterprise feedback on SASE

A study conducted by CIO gauging the performance of secure access service edge deployments found that clients regard SASE as exceeding their expectations, SDxCentral reports. The survey commissioned by Masergy and Fortinet found that respondents were highly satisfied with SASE in terms of such criteria as security performance, cost savings, remote work connectivity, user experience and visibility into the IT environment. According to the study, 48% of respondents have either already integrated SASE into their operations or have begun the transition process, while the rest are still investigating or planning to adopt it. Interest in SASE is being driven by a host of challenges that enterprises are currently facing, the top four of which are cloud security, at 52%, innovation at 44%, security strategies integrating zero trust at 41% and network security at 36%, according to the survey. An overwhelming majority of respondents (98%) believe convergence of network and security is critical or very important, noted Masergy Vice President of Solutions Engineering Franz Chavez. Thats where SASE is gaining steam.
