New Fugue IaC platform launches with unified policy engine

SDxCentral reports that cloud security firm Fugue has unveiled Fugue IaC, a new platform that aims to ensure consistent enforcement of security policies and save time for developers and cloud security teams by establishing a single set of policies to provide unified security for both infrastructure-as-code and cloud runtime environments.

The unified policy feature is fully integrated into Fugue's software-as-a-service platform and allows enterprises to enforce cloud security across development and operations while reducing use of engineering resources by 50%, according to Fugue co-founder and CEO Josh Stella.

"This particular issue is really thorny for folks because if you have to write two code bases to do the same thing in two different languages, they're always going to be out of sync, and they're never really going to get the same result," according to Stella.

The platform's unified policy engine is powered by the Open Policy Agent open standard and Regula and supports pre-deployment security checks for Terraform, Amazon Web Services CloudFormation, Kubernetes manifests and Dockerfiles.
