Partners laud IBM’s new investments on cloud enhancement

IBM announced at the Think 2021 conference that access to its Cloud Engagement Fund is being expanded to all partner types, giving channel partners more technical resources and cloud credits to help them migrate workloads to a hybrid cloud environment, according to CRN.

The company also unveiled a new competency framework that allows channel partners to display their achievements in a number of fields in the “build” and “service” tracks, such as AI Powered Business Automation, Deliver IBM Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure, Accelerate the Journey to AI and Zero Trust Security.

IBM also revealed new partner benefits such as proof-of-concept incentives and co-creation client centers.

Channel partners have praised the company’s latest step in developing its cloud ecosystem, which is expected to help them accomplish more complex cloud tasks and earn revenue more quickly.

“There’s a tremendous opportunity for IBM to advance channel-neutral sales programs which open accounts and generate leads for partners to augment and advance IBM’s sales capabilities,” said John Longmire, chief revenue officer at Ironside.
