Sumo Logic unveils DevSecOps-focused tools for improved observability, analytics

During its recent Illuminate virtual conference, Sumo Logic unveiled a suite of tools that provide enterprises with enhanced observability and real-time analytics to measure the performance of their critical infrastructure and applications, according to InfoWorld. The new DevSecOps-oriented tools are part of the company's Continuous Intelligence platform.

Sumo Logic's new offerings address a recent focus on the concept of observability, which refers to the monitoring of enterprise applications, distributed infrastructure and data flow, and was found by a recent survey by APM firm New Relic on 1,300 IT executives as a mission-critical element among 94% of respondents.

The first tool, Advanced Analytics for Comprehensive Alert Response, uses machine learning to enable automated troubleshooting and issue-resolution while allowing IT observers to remain aware of the nature of every application or network issue.

The company is also leveraging technology from its recent acquisition Sensu Go, providing enterprises with native monitoring-as-code capabilities to allow for faster "troubleshooting, diagnosis and self-healing from bare-metal to Kubernetes," according to Sumo Logic Vice President of Product Development Erez Barak.
