Edward Snowden believes the “mission’s already accomplished”

Whistleblower Edward Snowden is satisfied with his work involving secret government document leaks, and believes that his “mission's already accomplished.”

Although only a limited number of the documents he leaked have seen daylight, according to a recent interview with The Washington Post, Snowden said that his work has been validated by journalists.

“I didn't want to change society…I wanted to give society a chance to determine if it should change itself,” he told the Post.

In a recent Christmas day address, the UK's Channel 4 aired a message by Snowden regarding the current state of surveillance. In it he describes the government's actions as Orweillian and calls for an end to “mass surveillance.”

The latest Snowden leaks alleged that the RSA entered into a secret $10 million agreement with the NSA.
