Darkode allegedly up and running again

Darkode is reportedly back and operating just two weeks after an international law enforcement effort shut it down.

The online crime forum, which facilitated the purchase and trade of malware, botnets, and stolen personal information, including credit card details and user credentials, was shuttered in mid-July and yielded charges, arrests and searches of 70 suspected forum members and "associates" worldwide.

Darkode administrator Sp3cial1st told researcher MalwareTech that the site has been relaunched with many of the same staff in place, according to a report in The Register.

"The forum will be back in onion land, it will be invite only, and members we can confirm are still active will be given an invite [and] no-one else,” The Register reported Sp3cial1st as posting on the site.
