Singapore hacker, ‘The Messiah,’ hit with 105 computer misuse charges

A Singaporean hacker was hit with an additional 105 computer misuse charges earlier this week, bringing the total number of charges he will face in court to 162.

James Raj Arokiasamy, known as the “The Messiah,” was charged on the new counts following his alleged scanning of Singaporean government websites, according to TODAY. In addition to site scanning, Arokiasamy allegedly accessed Fuji Xerox's web server, which led to the theft of 647 clients' data.

His reported attack campaign didn't stop there. The Messiah is also accused of accessing and changing prominent church co-founder and known pop singer Ho Yeow Sun's website.

In one incident, Arokiasamy posted a cryptic message on a town council's website after a parliament member complained about commuters misbehaving on public transit.

A pre-trial conference is scheduled for later this week.
