HelpSystems acquires Agari, Beyond Security for cybersecurity enhancement

HelpSystems says it has acquired Agari and Beyond Security for undisclosed terms as part of its bid for a comprehensive cybersecurity portfolio, which recently included the February acquisition of Digital Defense, creator of Software-As-A-Service solutions for network asset analysis, vulnerability scanning and risk score generation, according to ZDNet.

California-based Beyond Security offers automated vulnerability assessment and compliance through its products beSecure, beStorm, and beSource, which enable vulnerability search and management, black box testing and code analysis, which the company says would integrate well with HelpSystems’ existing Digital Defense, Core Security, and Cobalt Strike products.

Software-As-A-Service solutions company Agari, also based in California, provides protection from phishing attempts and the resulting business email compromise by using machine learning, data science and cloud computing to filter out phishing attempts in email messages. Agari was also one of the founders of the consortium that developed the industry-standard Domain Message Authentication Reporting Conformance protocol against phishing, spoofing and spam.
