Mozilla releases patches for more than 30 Firefox bugs

The latest version of Mozilla's web browser, Firefox, corrects more than 30 security vulnerabilities. According to a Mozilla post this week, among the bugs discovered, seven are classified as “critical,” which give attackers the ability to run arbitrary code simply by tricking users to visit an infected web page. Four of the critical fixes address memory corruption, which may be a response to past complaints of memory leaks, which are caused when a program stores memory, but isn't able to release it back to the operating system. The update includes enhancements to a Firefox feature to allow new versions of the browser to be installed in the background as it is in use.
