Protegrity has acquired data security company OmniSecure, which has developed a file-encryption product that offers speed and transparency without requiring changes to existing applications. Terms have not been disclosed. The deal comes seven months after Protegrity acquired application security vendor Kavado.

Cybertrust has announced it will provide identity management solutions at a discount to EDUCAUSE, a nonprofit that works to advance higher education by promoting the use of information technology. EDUCAUSE participants will be able to easily manage user identities across multiple systems and applications.

Cambia Security has launched its PCI Protection Program for companies that need to demonstrate compliance with Payment Card Industry data security standards. As part of the program, Cambia CM helps companies automate the assessment and reporting of asset compliance.

Getronics, an IT workplace management provider, and Corillian have partnered to deliver comprehensive online services to financial institutions worldwide. Getronics will implement and resell Corillian's Voyager platform and online banking applications to financial institutions.

RSA Security has teamed with Diversinet to incorporate two-factor authentication in its security offerings. Banks and other enterprises are deploying Diversinet's MobiSecure, a suite of mobile tokens and over-the-air provisioning infrastructure. The solution is designed for mass market consumer applications and can be delivered via mobile devices.

Intrusic, an internal security solutions provider, has elected James Mobley to its board of directors. Mobley – Symantec's former vice president of professional services – will help develop Intrusic's future plans and bring new technologies to market. Prior to Symantec, Mobley served as president and CEO of @stake.
