Jen Brown
Compliance and data protection officer, Sumo Logic

Jen Brown is the compliance and data protection officer at Sumo Logic where she is responsible for responsible for leading compliance, risk, and privacy efforts for the company. She has more than 20 years of experience in IT security and compliance and has worked as a consultant, external auditor and internal resource for small and large businesses. Brown also has experience with HIPAA, FedRAMP and various other regulatory bodies, laws and standards.

Cindi Carter
Director of information security, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City

Cindi Carter is the director of information security at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City. She has more than 15 years of experience leading large scale strategic initiatives. Prior to her current position, Carter served as the senior manager of enterprise security at Cerner. She graduated from Central Michigan University with a Master's degree in business administration and a Bachelor's degree in management information systems. 

Akanksha Chaturvedi
Information security senior analyst, Conduent

Akanksha Chaturvedi is an information security senior analyst at Conduent where she uses her strong analytical, logical and mathematical skills to strengthen the information security posture of the organization. Prior to this role, Chaturvedi served as an associate IT security consultant at Coalfire Systems Inc. Chaturvedi received a Master's degree in computer science from the University of Houston and a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the University of Mumbai.

Shiri Margel
Team lead, Data Security Research Group at Imperva

Shiri Margel is the Security Insights machine learning research manager at Imperva and has been working in tech for more than 17 years with her last four being in cybersecurity. She has also served as the team lead in the data security research group and as a security research engineer at her firm. Margel has a Master's in computer science and applied mathematics from the Weizmann Institute of Science and a Bachelor's in math and computer science from Tel Aviv University.

Jing Xie
Senior threat intelligence researcher, Venafi

Dr. Jing Xie is a senior threat intelligence researcher at Venafi. In her position, she has examined the condition of nation-state sponsored cyber warfare and other security threats. She is the co-founder and chief researcher and developer at Blockchain Stealth and prior to that was a staff data engineer and staff security researcher at FireEye, Inc. where she built machine learning driven products for malware detection and reverse engineered mobile iOS and Android systems.

Kelley Misata
President and executive director, Open Information Security Foundation 
Founder and CEO, Sightline Security

Kelley Misata is the President and executive director on the board of directors at the Open Information Security Foundation (OSF) and has over 15 years in business leadership roles as a strategic leader, speaker, and innovator. Misata has also done work with her current organization and The Tor Project, ranging from fundraising, advocacy, policy discussions, marketing, and outreach activities with an array of stakeholders. She holds a Ph.D. in information security from Purdue University specializing in the information security of groups working with victims of violence.

Suchismita Pahi
Privacy attorney, Greenberg Traurig

Suchismita Pahi is a data privacy and cybersecurity attorney at Greenberg Traurig where she advises clients on data security incident evaluations, breach response, and regulatory compliance requests as well as collaborates with clients to evaluate data transfer, storage, and collection implications across various data privacy and security regimes. Previously, Pahi worked as a Health Privacy Project law clerk with Deven McGraw at the Center for Democracy and Technology, 2012.

Sherry Ryan
Vice president and CISO, Juniper Networks

Sherry Ryan is the vice president and CISO of Juniper Networks and has held similar leadership positions at Blue Shield of California, Hewlett-Packard, Safeway and Levi Strauss where she established and built the security programs. Ryan holds a Master's degree in business administration from Notre Dame de Namur University and has Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certification from ISACA as well as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from ISC2.

Tanya Secker
Practice lead, SpiderLabs, Trustwave

Tanya Secker is on the SpiderLabs team as the EMEA practice lead at Trustwave and is also part of a Pen Testing Couple with her longtime partner Martin Murfitt with whom she has been dating for more than 11 years. She has risen through the ranks and in her own right has excelled in compromising vulnerable apps in a male-dominated profession without compromising herself in the processes. She believes every vulnerability comes down to human assumption and that good entry points to execute arbitrary code are often in plain sight.

Lori Stroud
Cyber threat analyst, BB&T

Lori Stroud is a cyber threat analyst at BB&T where she is responsible for incident response, network forensics, root cause and malware analysis. Prior to that, she worked as a senior cyber analyst at DarkMatter LLC where she focused on MENA targeting, data analytics, and technical mentorship. Stroud is a Ph. D candidate at the UGSM-Monarch Business School in Switzerland and spent six years working for the National Security Agency as an intelligence analyst.

Nora Thibault
Information security manager, Logibec

Nora Thibault is an information security manager at Logibec. Previously she worked at Promutuel Assurance where she was responsible for the security of digital information. Thibault also served in the French Ministry of Defense and in the Court of Armies of Paris in the Paris Armed Forces Tribunal.

Jennifer Tisdale
Director, connected mobility and infrastructure, GRIMM

Jennifer Tisdale as its director of connected mobility and infrastructure ensuring cybersecurity initiatives are integrated into the future of mobility and smart city infrastructure. Tisdale also serves as the cybermobility advisor to the Michigan Chapter of the National Defense Industrial Association board and is an advocate for security integration in smart city and intelligent transportation systems design, building a cybersecurity community of interest. Tisdale has also served as the cybersecurity program manager in product development for Mazda North America and as the cyber-mobility program manager for the Michigan Economic Development Corporation where she was responsible for supporting the automotive and defense industries by banding together smart mobility and cybersecurity to advance connected and autonomous vehicles.

Julie Tsai
Senior director of security operations, Box

Julie Tsai is the Senior Director of Security Operations at Box where she is the lead and mentor of the company's security team. She is also an advisor for Zenmay Compute LLC. In her previous role, Tsai was the director of engineering, information security for Global eCommerce for Walmart eCommerce where she led two-thirds of Walmart.com's InfoSec team, by building out and expanding its engineering function threefold globally.

Amber Van Sant
Manager of threat operations, BTB Security

Amber Van Sant is the manager of threat operations at BTB Security where she is focused on building systems of people, process, and technology that allow an organization to succeed into perpetuity amid shifting budgets, personnel, and operating environments. She has more than 10 years of experience in information security at pharmaceutical, chemical, and Finance companies. A former special agent in the FBI Cyber Division, Van Sant worked in complex multinational investigations into major intrusion at the world's largest institutions.

Caroline Wong
VP, Cobalt.io

Caroline Wong is the vice president of security strategy at Cobalt and the writer behind the textbook Security Metrics: A Beginner's Guide. Prior to her most recent position, Wong was the director of security initiatives where she created and lead global the firm's Women@Cigital program and built client partnerships, created offerings to drive new revenue, trained client managers to deliver new billable engagements, and created IP to scale delivery. She was the director of global product management at Symantec.
