SC World Congress: Problems solved

The third annual SC World Congress, to be held Nov. 10-11 in New York, brings together top security leaders, practitioners and vendors.

Security practitioners will be gathering in the fall for the East Coast's largest and most vital expo and conference to discuss the emerging risks they face and the solutions to help solve those threats.

Attendees of SC World Congress, to be held Nov. 10-11 at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in Manhattan, will hear from some of the top leaders in the security space and walk away with technical tips and practical documents and templates that they can immediately apply to their organization.

Further, the SC World Congress expo floor provides access to a diversity of products and services from leading vendors to help security pros protect their organization from hackers, disgruntled employees and other security risks.

In addition to several keynotes and speaker sessions from some of the industry's leading figures, SC Magazine is hosting the popular Security Innovators Throwdown for the second year in a row. During this competition, leading young companies compete to share ideas to address today's information security needs. The winner and finalists will be showcased in a future edition of the magazine.

Looking forward to this year's event, Jeffrey Ingalsbe, Center for Cyber Security and Intelligence Studies at the University of Detroit Mercy, says, “SC World Congress 2010 is the must-attend event of the year. It offers real solutions to real problems that security practitioners are struggling with today.”

Patricia Titus, CISO, Unisys, says, “SC World Congress brings together the most sought after thought leaders to give their perspective and provide the facts on what's really happening in cyberspace.”

Mustaque Ahamad, a professor at the College of Computing, Georgia Institute of Technology, says, “Better understanding of the constantly evolving threats we face in cyber space in a must for effective information security. SC World Congress is a great opportunity for security professionals to learn about such threats and how best to mitigate them in their IT environments.”
